Food labeling today can be totally crazy, and it's hard to know what to look for when you're faced with 20 different options in your grocery store deli case. If you don't have a local butcher who sources responsibly, be sure to look for word like "pasture-raised" "grass-fed" and ideally "grass-finished" when checking out.
I spoke with our very own Model Meals butcher, Michael Puglisi, of Electric City Butcher about his recommendations for beef buying. I was shocked to find out how many hands could touch the meat I'm eating before it gets to me!
