Everything you love about Model Meals goes through Nate! A regular day for him starts at the crack of dawn and is filled with all sorts of data. Whether it’s data about our meals, productivity, or marketing campaigns, Nathan’s job is to analyze it and keep all teams aligned with our purpose to help people achieve their goals.

He started with the Model Meals team on March 26, 2018, and went all in! He aligns 100% with the Model Meals mission to create happier and healthier people and believes that it all starts with food. Nate has big ideas and plans to help bring Model Meals to even more people in the U.S. and around the world. 🌍🙌

Let’s get to know Nate a little more…

In June of 2017, Nate’s doctor told him that if he were 40 years old with the same cholesterol levels, he would have a 50/50 chance of having a heart attack each day. She gave him 6 months to correct it before she medically intervened.

When looking back at that time Nate says, “I was at a crossroads. Everything that I knew about dieting was associated with supporting my love for weightlifting. Based on my knowledge, my approach was going to be no different- increase training and cut out carbs. But, I was missing something critical. The type of food that I was eating was killing me.

So, my wife intervened instead of medication. She put me on a strict low cholesterol diet without me even knowing it. By my check-up in January, my levels evened out and I lost 13 lbs. However, I still felt bloated, inflamed and sluggish. That's when her research directed her to Melissa Hartwig and the Whole30 program.”

Nate’s wife was on a mission. She used Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, and popular blogs to find Whole30 recipes and ideas to help bring more whole foods into their house. That's also when she came across Danika and the Model Meals team. Filled with whole food knowledge, Nathan and his wife completed their first Whole30 with amazing results.

Soon after, Nathan’s wife saw that Model Meals was hiring an Operations Director (coincidence or what?!). Based on his personal story and educational background, she thought it would be a great fit. Nathan submitted his resume that night (after another long, unfulfilling day with his previous company), and was hired a short time after. He hasn’t looked back since, and we couldn’t be happier!

Rapid 🔥 question time. Let’s learn more about Nate outside of Model Meals!

Have you ever completed Whole30? What was it like and what advice would you give to others who are thinking of completing their own Whole30?

I have completed a Whole30 and it was completely freeing! My best advice is based on perception... Focus on what you get to eat rather than what you can't, and take it one day, one meal at a time.

That's some of the cool things about the service we provide. There is a broad spectrum of flavors so it's difficult to get bored, and the biggest decision you have to make is choosing which meal that you want to eat rather than having to worry about going to the store day after day to get fresh products for a meal.

Nate, we are beyond pumped to have you on the Model Meals team. We 💛 the energy and passion you bring every day!
